Following our last announcement of updated street imagery for 9 countries, we have more news to please our international community: Geocoding in the API is now enabled for the countries of Brazil, Portugal, Hungary, Poland, and the Czech Republic. This is is great news for mashup developers - according to the GoogleLookup functions in my google spreadsheet, there are potentially 224,649,663 more users from those 5 nations that might now be able to locate theirselves on your map (That's a lot).

To prove to you that geocoding does indeed work for these countries, I've set up an example below using the API geocoder. You can enter in any address you'd like, or, if you're feeling un-creative, click on a country to populate the address field with a sample address for that country and see it geocoded. For entertainment's sake, I've tried to use sample addresses that will take you to interesting locations. Happy geocoding!
